Callaway X-20 Irons Great Amateurs' Choice Review

The Callaway’s X Series is all about giving serious golfers total performance with enhanced forgiveness for the ultimate in confidence. For the average golfer the Callaway X-20 Irons are very forgiving iron clubs. Their weight is perfect son the swing feel just great, so you don’t feel that you have to put more power or speed, therefore you control more your swing. You can find cheap golf clubs in many online stores to save some money.

They combine all the latest Callaway technology to help improve your play and boost your confidence.

They have Variable Face Thickness (VFT) to maximize ball speed off the face and redistribute weight to lower the centre of gravity.

The Callaway X-20 Irons also have the Modified Tru-Bore Technology for improved feel; and a 360-Degree Undercut Channel that lowers the center of gravity and brings it to the rear of the clubhead and to the outer edges of the face for stability and a larger sweetspot.

The set also features Extreme Notch Weighting for increased MOI and longer shots, along with a new system called the Progressive Wall Reduction System which gradually lowers the center of gravity across the set so that the short irons can get the ball airborne easier, while the CG is still on average 6% lower than the X-18s even.

While the Callaway X-20 Irons do not fit into the ‘super-game improvement’ category, they are considered game improvement irons, to be sure. That being said, they are not radically different than the older X-Tour irons. The X-20s are slightly longer heel to toe, have a slightly wider sole, and a slightly thicker top line.
